As the others have said, the amber light is fairly dim. I also wish the star moved and it played music. I'm a bit bothered that I can't change the lightbulb too. But we've had this turtle for about 6 months now and so far so good! Cloud b Twilight Turtle.. Excellent Product, My Son Loves It! September 8, 2008 I purchased the Twilight Turtle for my toddler because I wanted a nightlight that he can control from his crib. The large, easy-press buttons for On and Amber/Blue/Green light are at the back of the shell and are very easy for my son to use. The turtle remains on for 45 minutes, which is more than enough time for him to comfortably fall asleep after waking and turning the turtle on in the middle of the night. My son loves to look at the stars on his ceiling and he also loves to turn the turtle over to look at the stars on his clothes, body, and bedding. He oohs and ahhs in wonder as he moves the turtle around to see stars where ever he wants to see them. When the turtle is in his bed, the stars on the ceiling are large, but not indistinct. It is not possible to make out the constellations when the turtle is so far from the ceiling (the ceiling's high point is 12 feet), but at this age, he doesn't have a clue as to what a constellation is, so it doesn't matter at all. The Off switch is on the underside of the turtle, under a soft flap. This is the only way to turn the turtle off if you don't want it on for the full 45 minutes. I've never had a burning desire to turn it off, so it doesn't bother me. The shell is a hard plastic, but the head, tail, and legs of the turtle are chenille with soft and plush filling. My son absolutely loves the Twilight Turtle, and I have just purchased the Twilight Ladybug for my infant daughter. Cloud b Twilight Turtle .. Love this! September 6, 2008 Such a great novel gift- you don't really see these in stores, except in high-end baby boutiques. Received this for my daughter as a baby. She loved it then, and still loves it now- at nearly 5 years old! The stars are really beautiful; I kinda want one for my own room. Also, my daughter was REALLY rough on it as a baby, throwing it down the stairs several times. I thought it would break, but it's still going strong- and it's so adorable. My 1-yr old niece loves it! September 5, 2008 Got it for her birthday and my sister said her daughter hugs it when she goes to sleep. It shoots a star light pattern on the ceiling. I'm glad I got it for her. Peaceful night's sleep under the stars September 1, 2008 I read about this turtle and I bought it to help my 10-month-old son fall asleep. It has worked beautifully and my 9-year-old niece loved trying to find the constellations. I am a bit disappointed that the amber color does not project, but the blue and the green are very bright. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves to stargaze or has a child who is afraid of the dark. Editorial Reviews: Product Description When using your TV or computer, there's nothing more frustrating than encountering poor reception. Now there's a fast and effortless way to make your signal strength up to 32 times more powerful! The Motorola Signal Booster enhances analog and digital picture quality, improves cable modem communication, and reduces lost data. It's easy to install and tools are not required. This device also allows you to optimize multiple broadband devices in your home - televisions, cable set-top boxes, cable modems, VCRs, and digital radios - all from one convenient cable. Clearly, the Motorola Signal Booster is a strong alternative to weak signal quality.
Customer Reviews: Fixed my issues September 13, 2008 This signal amp fixed the issue with long run cable feeds in our house. The only complication with install is the need to have an available electrical plug to power the unit. It does use coax for the power connection. A lenght is supplied with the unit and this works if the plug is nearby. NOTE that this amp needs to be placed where the cable or antenna feed enters the house. Fantastic September 10, 2008 I moved into a new house with my family this past year, and the house was built in the mid-80s. So the wiring was not necessarily up to snuff for all of today's technology, but in general, worked well enough. But pertaining to our cable service, which provides cable, phone and internet service, we were having a few issues. We have three primary television setups, one on the main level, one in the basement, and one upstairs. All three setups were using an HD-DVR cable box from the cable company, and all were having problems with choppy and stuttering programming, audio dropouts, and lack of ability to use the interactive functions of the cable boxes (such as guide, on-demand, etc.). The cable company came out and told us that there was nothing they could do, and that we'd need to re-wire the whole house with better wiring. Not so keen on doing that, I ordered a couple of these Motorola Signal Boosters to try on 2 of the TVs. And I already had a Radio Shack booster around from another situation for the 3rd TV. Long story short, I connected the Motorola signal boosters at 2 of the televisions, directly between the coax cable and the cable box. Notwithstanding what some people have written, that this needs to go right at the initial entry of the cable into the house, this setup worked perfectly. Our television programming was now pristine without stuttering, our interactive access was fully restored, and all of the issues went away. Interestingly, the one television where we were using the Radio Shack booster was still experiencing problems. So I ordered another Motorola for the 3rd television, and lo and behold, the problems went away again. To conclude, I am totally sold on this booster, and it has been a quick and easy fix for our cable problems. I am sure I would not have been able to re-wire our whole house for the cost of these 3 boosters. Good work Motorola. Works well September 7, 2008 The signal booster was exactly what I needed for an HDTV set in the bedroom. There are a number of sets in the house, as well as a cable modem. This solved a reception problem and was a snap to install. Although I connected it only for a single set, it can be installed where the cable enters the house to boost the signal to all sets and connections. No miracles but does work.. September 6, 2008 I'm pretty sceptical about such devices but I decided to take a chance on this one since I have trouble pulling in some of the clear/unscrambled digital channels with two different QAM tuners. First I tried the easy way and hooked it up inside where the cable comes into the wall from outside. No difference..didn't work. Next I tried it the correct way and went outside and installed it at the earliest place possible (used it instead of a cable co installed 2-way splitter) and WALLAH! I now get the one clear QAM channel I couldn't pull in before! I must say that the picture quality of the channels I was already getting didn't seem to change at all, so if you're looking at this device for that purpose it may or may not work for you. Better then expected September 1, 2008 I did not think this product was going to work, but much to my pleasant surprise it works. My reception is MUCH better. The only issue is a few channels still don't come in, but compared to what I had before, no complaints. Brand: Motorola Category: CE List Price: Buy New: $37.32 You Save: $62.67 (63%) ORDER NOW!!! |

Customer Reviews: Read 59 more reviews... The best smart phone in today's market August 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful Folks, I have had many smart phones till now - from Nokia's N series, I-phone and finally the Blackberry. This is the best smart phone among the lot. I'm travelling consultant and have to depend largely on the "on-road" functionality of the phone. Its been 3 months that I have used this phone. I have no complaints till now. Key features: > Sleek Design > Awesome speaker phone > Great internet/ email capabilities (QWERY keyoboard is so easy to type) > Great Blackberry community online > Decent battery life (compared to other smart phones) I'm very picky when it comes to cellphone but this one has really worked well for me Burned by T-Mobile, dishonest lying company!!! August 29, 2008 0 out of 7 found this review helpful This is not a review for the phone which is probably great. This is a rant about T-Mobile. T-Mobile had lied to me when I was going to the Carribean with my Black Berry. The Representative had told me that I would be charged according to the data used and instead signed me up for BB International Roaming, which is $19.99. The service had never worked, I wasn't able to recieve or send email, but this is not what this is about. Four months later I had opened a bill, which I usually don't do since the bill is paid automatically every month, and discovered that I am being charged $19.99 for the past 4 months. Manager at T-Mobile insisted that there's nothing that they can do regardless of the fact that I am being charged for the service that never been used. The Manager did not even attempt to accomodate me in any way, no partial credit offer, not even for one month, not even free text messages for next month. T-Mobile is out there to take advantage of you. They take no responsibility for lying to their customers and charging them for services not provided. Avoid T-Mobile Does what I need, when I need August 22, 2008 Got this a little over a month ago. Everything is working as advertised. Upgraded the OS and the Software and have been able to navigate through everything I have needed. I would HIGHLY suggest a case for this item as it scratches if dropped (learned the hard way twice) - as it should. Had a problem with the install of my MicroSD card at first, but have figured it out since then. Awful T-Mobile customer service, very good phone August 11, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful I've had the Curve 8320 for 10 months. A month ago, the USB port failed - the phone wouldn't charge or connect to the PC, and I could see one of the wires on the USB sticking out. I called T-Mobile for replacement, only to find out that their "policy" is to call from a different phone regardless of the problem. I did not have access to a different phone, and the problem was obvious. After two hour of waiting and then talking in circles with T-Mobile's customer support they would not let me on to RIM's tech support - they would not make an exception from their policy to use a different phone regardless of the problem. Since I didn't have access to a second phone, their advise was to go to a customer center and call them from there. I did not call them back. I have no time for hours of resetting the phone and "troubleshooting" when the problem is evident. This is not the first time I have gotten similar treatment from T-Mobile. My Blackberry 8700G broke too, and they could not fix the problem, yet charged me $100 for "water damage". That's when I bought the Curve. I pay several hundred dollars each month for the privilege of using T-Mobile - at least 3x more than I pay for cable TV, and my cable company has 10x better service, including visits to my home when there are problems. I know the other phone cos are far from perfect - but after such total lack of service and respect I simply have to go elsewhere. Not for MAC users August 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Though the phone has impressive features, its one major drawback is lack of MAC compatability. This phone replaced my sidekick, and is really a step up when compared to that. The Curve is very light and comfortable, especially when compared to the brick that the sidekick 3 was. It also has more features and a better screen. Granted, BB did not advertise compatability with MAC, however, there are several softwares that are supposed to support it--including one available at the BB website. I tried that software and was utterly disappointed. The calendar would not sync properly, nor would anything else. So, even though my blackberry tracks meetings and what not, I cannot sync it with my MAC. No one wants to enter meetings in two places or not have a back up of the BB on the computer. But, if you are a mac person, this is what is going to happen. Had I waited, I would have probably gone with the new Iphone. Of course, if you are window based, this phone will be perfect. $35.00 Epson Stylus Photo 700 Inkjet Printer (PC/Mac)
Features:
| |||||||||||
Accessories: | |||||||||||
Editorial Reviews: Product Description The Epson Stylus Photo 700 color inkjet printer is ideal for creating photo copies so lifelike that it's difficult to distinguish them from the originals.The Stylus Photo 700 prints black and white text at 3.5 pages per minute (ppm) and color at 2-3.5 ppm. Both are printed at a resolution of 1440 dots per inch thanks to Epson's Super MicroDot Technology. It brings out each image's fine detail so all colors are vivid and all text is sharp and clear. Epson uses their own Micro Piezo print head in the Stylus Photo 700 to ensure clean, consistent printing on all your photos and documents, no matter what type of paper you use. Amazon.com Product Description If your chief task is printing photos but you need a printer at a value price, the Epson Stylus Photo 700 may be an ideal choice. This inkjet features both hardware and software that are geared toward producing photographs, and, on Epson photo paper, you'll get the benefit of 1,440 x 720 dpi resolution. The Photo 700 uses six colors of ink to provide accurate color balance. The unit accepts a five-color (cyan, magenta, yellow, light-cyan,light-magenta) ink cartridge and a separate black cartridge. With this version of Epson's proprietary Micro Piezo inkjet technology, the printhead remains in the unit when you change a cartridge. The sturdy case includes a fold-down telescoping output tray in the front, a 100-sheet input tray in the rear, and a flip-up top cover that runs the width of the printer. The unit sets up quickly—plug in the parallel cable, drop in the ink tanks, and secure them with the intuitive lock/release levers. A CD-ROM provides both Windows and Macintosh versions of helpful applications, collectively called Epson Digital Photo Lab. Titles include Adobe Photo Deluxe for image editing, Epson Photo Sheet for printing sheets of photos in various sizes, Extensis Portfolio for organizing photos, PictureWorks Spin Panorama for producing panoramic pictures, and the DiaMAR Learning to See Creatively LE tutorial. Speed is not this model's strong suit—a plain-text document prints at only 1.2 pages per minute in monochrome mode—but photos are of surprisingly high quality given the printer's low price. Note that the unit includes both parallel and serial interfaces. The latter is for connection to older Macintosh computers and to select Epson digital cameras. What's in the Box
Customer Reviews: A good machine--but you'll wait for it. March 9, 2000 8 out of 8 found this review helpful In the old days I used to own an Apple Stylewriter II inkjet printer (which for you PC users was just a Canon inkjet with the name changed). It would print 360 dpi at about 2 pages a minute. As long as you weren't writing a novel, it was quick enought to get the job done--but for $350 you couldn't get color in 1993 so that's what I had. When I bought the Epson Stylus 700 Photo printer, with its 1440 dpi printing etc. etc. I kind of expected it to change the way I thought about inkjet printers. Unfortunately, it did nothing of the sort. For 95% of my printing needs, I leave the resolution on 360dpi anyway because if you increase it to 720 dpi it will only print about 1 page every two minutes (text). If you turn it up to 1440, you're going to be there all day. I've printed several 8 x 10 pictures, and the printer does a great job at rendering the colors and making it look a lot like a printed photograph. So really, the only advantages I gained was that I could now incorporate color into my graphs and tables, and I can print an occasional picture. But beware! Photo quality paper is very expensive. Moreoever, it only takes about 4 or 5 large pictures to exhaust your color ink! Also, I find that I replace my black ink cartridge about once every two months--with the average usage of a college student. That's $25 bucks apiece times two... and ink costs really start to add up. On the upside, the printer makes very few errors, and it will do very nice pictures--if you're willing to wait long enough. excellent printer. photos are rich in color. Customer Reviews: Speaker Surround Sound USB Headphone.. Reading the fine print won't help! August 13, 2005 5 out of 7 found this review helpful Decent, comfortable headphones made out of garden variety plastic which makes them a little overpriced. Also, don't count on getting an equalizer if you use a MAC, even though they don't tell you at the company's web site. PC's only here. No equalizer. The USB hook up is nice (you can't use the USB connections on your keyboard, though....they don't tell you that up front either) and the sound is pretty good but if you were counting on custom tailoring your sound output with a nifty equalizer, you can only do that if you're using a PC.
